Judy Voruz, M.A.

Masters in Counseling Psychology, MAC, Masters Addictions Certification;
SAP, Substance Abuse Professional

5x7fileIMG_0023Since 1985, I’ve worked as a family counselor specializing in helping families and individuals struggling with addiction.  I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Masters Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.  For 5 years, I served as a family counselor at the world-renowned Hazelden/Betty Ford Foundation, where I developed curriculum for their family residential program.

As I began my career 40 years ago, my passion and interest were always quite naturally drawn to working with addicts and their families. Addictions counseling made clear the enormous transformational power in the journey of addiction and its process of discovery. Because spiritual principles are the basis for the predominant treatment modality, I had found a career that reflected my deeply held values and aspirations.

There is nothing more empowering than becoming aware of the options available in what seems to be your most difficult situations.  Meeting the challenge of addiction in yourself or a loved one is one of those situations that offers the most life changing opportunities possible. Let’s enter this challenge together.
